Woodland restaurant hit by armed robbers

By From page A2 | January 31, 2012

Woodland police are seeking two men who robbed a Wienerschnitzel restaurant Monday morning.

Dispatchers received a call at about 9:20 a.m. from two employees who reported being bound and robbed at gunpoint at the 103 W. Main St. business. No customers were inside at the time, Sgt. Aaron Delao said.

The robbers — described as white males in their 20s — fled with an undisclosed amount of cash in one of the employees’ cars, which was found ditched in the area of Lincoln Avenue and West Street, Delao said.

Both employees were able to free themselves after the robbery and were not injured.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Woodland Police Department at (530) 666-2411.
