Do people still use printed maps? Indeed, they do; in an average week, the Davis Chamber of Commerce distributes about 100 maps of Davis.
A new and improved street and bicycle route map of Davis, updated from the 2010 version, is available now at the Chamber office, 604 Third St. in downtown Davis. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
The first copy is free; additional copies are $1 each.
“The new map is already proving to be a great resource for students, tourists, prospective residents and Davisites who regularly request information to find their way around town,” a Chamber news release said.
The map features a street index, a regional map, a Davis overview and incorporates Davis’ bike routes, bike tunnels and overpasses.
The Chamber printed 10,000 copies of the map, a supply expected to last two years. For more information, contact Grant Nejedlo at 530-756-5160 or deputydirector@davischamber.com.
