By
From page A3 | March 16, 2014 |

Davis Media Access will offer a free orientation to community media services from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at its studios, 1623 Fifth St.

Staff will provide information about equipment, services, policies and volunteer opportunities. The orientation is the first step toward becoming involved at DMA, and is free and open to anyone who lives, works or studies in Davis. No registration is required.

DMA is a nonprofit community media center whose mission is to enrich and strengthen the community by providing alternatives to commercial media for local voices, opinions and creative endeavors.

DMA operates public access cable Channel 15 and low-power community radio station KDRT, 95.7 FM. DMA also partners with the Davis Joint Unified School District and provides productions services for the district’s educational access Channel 17.

For more information, and to RSVP, call 530-757-2419 or visit davismedia.org.
