Davis train station worth visiting

USA Today put Davis’ Southern Pacific Depot on its list of “10 Great Places to Celebrate National Train Day.” The national newspaper published its list, compiled Ed Breslin, co-author of “America’s Great Railroad Stations,” on Friday.

Amtrak started National Train Day in 2008 to commemorate the anniversary of  the nation’s first transcontinental railroad. Falling on Saturday for 2012, the day featured celebrations and activities and train stations and museums across the country.
