Dementia presentation slated Saturday

Nationally renowned dementia expert Teepa Snow will speak from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Ulatis Community Center Theatre, 1010 Ulatis Drive in Vacaville.

Snow is a dementia care and education specialist with 30-plus years of experience in geriatrics. She works service providers throughout the country to improve programs and services to people with dementia and their families.

Saturday’s session will be interactive, with the goal of providing strategies to reduce conflict, improve interactions and work together with loved ones. Participants will gain a better understanding of dementia and its common symptoms, behaviors and stages.
