Demory to talk about her new book

The UC Davis Stores and the University Writing Program present Pamela Demory, continuing lecturer in the UCD University Writing Program, talking about her new book, “Queer Love in Film and Television: Critical Essays,” from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, at 126 Voorhies. The book is coedited with Christopher Pullen, of Bournemouth University, UK, published by Palgrave Macmillan.

The talk is free and open to the general public. It will be followed by a question-and-answer period, a book signing and a reception.

The 22 essays collected in “Queer Love in Film and Television” ask how films and television programs in the last two decades play with, imitate, subvert, mock, critique and queer the romantic narrative conventions so common in Western culture.
