DHS cheerleading tryouts coming up

The Davis High School cheerleading team invites tumblers, dancers and students with school spirit to try out for the award-winning squad. Students entering ninth through 12th grade in the fall are eligible to try out.

A mandatory Cheer Information Night for prospective cheerleaders and a parent is at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, in Room N-8 at DHS, 315 W. 14th St.

A tryout clinic runs April 25-28 in the DHS Dance Room. The clinic is offered from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday and 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. Tryouts are at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 30, in the Dance Room.

Prospective cheerleaders are invited to work on their skills at the team’s open gym from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays in April in the DHS Dance Room. The cheer coaches will be offering corrections and feedback, as well as providing assistance with tumbling and stunting.

Participants must complete and bring with them a DHS sports participation form they can download at the DHS Cheer website at http://www.dhscheer.org.
