The Davis High School Advanced Treble Choir, Concert Choir and Madrigal Singers will be joined by the DHS Baroque Ensemble in performing Handel’s “Messiah” twice this weekend. The masterpiece will be sung by a chorus of 100 students and performed by the high school’s one-of-a-kind orchestra.

Audience members Friday and Saturday will catch the holiday spirit as they listen to the musicians, singers and guest soloists Megan Buchanan, Clarissa Lyons, Lisa Parente, Evan Pretzlaff and Brad Soler perform the oratorio under the direction of teachers Karen Gardias and Angelo Moreno.

The concert takes place at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at St. James Catholic Church, 1275 B St. in Davis. Tickets are $20 general and $10 for students, available at Watermelon Music, 207 E St. in downtown Davis. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.
