Historical Society hears about German pioneers

The next meeting of the Dixon Historical Society will take place at 2 p.m, Sunday, July 17, at the Methodist Church of Dixon, 209 N. Jefferson St.

Claude Rohwer will present a talk on the life, times, and relationships of pioneering German families in Dixon. The Rohwer, Stick, Schroeder and Eggert families will be featured, including how these families came to Dixon, familial relationships, genealogy, family gossip and a photo or two. Audience participation and interaction is welcome.

Society business will be transacted and rumors exchanged.
