Doctor will speak about breast imaging
“The Role of Imaging in Breast Cancer: Mammography, MRI…” will be presented by Nicole Carbó, M.D., at the Breast Cancer Open Door educational meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at University Covenant Church, 315 Mace Blvd.
Dr. Carbó will discuss the ways various methods of breast imaging are used in screening for and diagnosing breast cancer. There will be a time for questions and answers. The program is free and open to the public.

Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization has closed its doors. The continuing program will depend on donations that will be under the educational arm of Breast Cancer Care and Research Fund. Donations may be made to BCCRF, 900 Kent Drive, Davis, CA 95616.
“Our expenses are moderate, but in order to continue, we would appreciate receiving donations to help defray the expenses that we incur,” spokeswoman Sandy Walsh.
