Donations support Yolo Law Library

By June 5, 2012

The Yolo County Law Library has received more than $3,000 from the Yolo Community Foundation through a fund established by Mortimer Schwartz of Davis, emeritus associate dean of the UC Davis Law Library. Many local lawyers have contributed to the fund.

“We will be using the funds for resources that the regular budget cannot provide, including additional self-help materials for pro se litigants and for promotional information to aid residents of Yolo County to use our facilities,” said Kathryn Bates Turner, J.D., director of the Yolo County Law Library.

The Yolo Community Foundation is a repository for funds to benefit the charitable intent of local citizens, and a way of giving back to the community, said Meg Stallard, the foundation’s board president.
