By From page A2 | January 10, 2013

Two people were hospitalized Monday following a collision at an East Davis intersection, police and fire officials said.

Davis police Lt. Glenn Glasgow said driver Carole Armstrong, 55, of Winters, had stopped for a red light on eastbound Fifth Street at Pole Line Road when she was rear-ended by another vehicle at about 11:10 a.m.

Glasgow said the eastbound traffic light had just turned from red to green, and the second driver was unable to slow down in time to avoid the collision.

Armstrong and the other driver, 53-year-old Ronnie Earnest of Davis, were taken to area hospitals following the crash, according to the Davis Fire Department.
