Speakers look at Middle East shake-up

By February 17, 2011

Local residents are invited to learn more about unrest in the Middle East at a panel discussion from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Community Room at International House, 10 College Park.

Two Egyptian-Americans — Noha Radwan and Shaymaa Hassouna — will speak about the resurgence of the spirit of Egypt in the wake of President Hosni Mubarak’s resignation.

They will be joined by Libyan-American Salem Mohamed Ammar, a chaplain at Folsom State Prison, who will talk about recent developments in Libya.

Refreshments will be served at the event, which is free and open to the public. For more information, call I-House at (530) 753-5007.
