For its next concert, Davis Live Music Collective is keeping the quality sky-high while scaling the venue way down.

The collective presents an evening with alt-country siren Kelly Hogan and her full band in a rare and intimate house concert Friday at 7 p.m.

A $20 donation is suggested, and guests must RSVP to [email protected] to secure a seat in this backyard venue. All proceeds go to the artists. Concert-goers are advised to come early and bring a drink.

Hogan’s new album, “I Like To Keep Myself In Pain,” is a powerful and moving testament to her talent and years spent dedicated to music. From all these accumulated experiences, she has selected a set of enchanting songs from renowned artists with whom she has met and sung along the way, including Neko Case, Andrew Bird, Jon Wesley Harding, M. Ward and Jon Langford.

She performed and recorded songs by Jack Pendarvis, The Magnetic Fields and Vic Chesnutt. Hogan toured with Robyn Hitchcock, and is friend and neighbor to The Handsome Family and Freakwater.
