Enjoy films, beer at benefit Friday night

By From page A3 | August 01, 2014

New Belgium Brewing Co. is bringing its beer-toting, film-traveling, nonprofit-benefiting show to Davis’ Community Park on Friday from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Films will start at nightfall on the soccer field at the north end of the park, near the Davis Arts Center.

The “Clips” tour offers a venue where guests can try New Belgium’s most esoteric offerings while watching short films created by New Belgium fans. Up to 17 beer varieties will be on tap, including selections from the Lips of Faith series and some brewery classics.

All of the beer sale proceeds will be donated to Davis Bicycles!

Food is welcome, and beer will be available for purchase. Those who bring their own water bottles can fill them for free.

Guests are encouraged to bring low lawn chairs or blankets, and to arrive by bike, car-pool or public transportation. Dogs also are welcomed on a leash, under control and by their owner’s side.
