Hardwater — which features Ted Fontaine, bass; Mark Morse, drums; John Swann, vocals and guitar; and Phil Summers, guitar — will bring its eclectic mix of rock, blues, folk and roots music to Picnic in the Park from 5 p.m. to dark on Wednesday, June 11.
This is the 12th Picnic in the Park performance for the Davis-based band, whose repertoire includes tunes from the Grateful Dead, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Counting Crows, Wilco and Dawes.
The market is open from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Bring your own picnic or buy dinner at the food fair. Members of Soroptimist International of Davis will pour local beer and wine to raise money for local charities.
Children’s entertainment includes Central Park’s bicycle-powered carousel, Rocknasium’s climbing structure, bounce houses, face-painting and balloon-maker Dilly Dally the Clown.
Spring produce — asparagus, greens, snap peas, lettuces and strawberries — plus local eggs, honey and meat fill the market, with craft booths at the north end.
