Enter Disc Dog Tournament on Saturday in Dixon

By April 26, 2011

The seventh annual “Pups N Pubs” Disc Dog Tournament will take place Saturday in Dixon, hosted by Disc Dogs of the Golden Gate.

Whether your dog has never seen a disc before, you’ve been playing in the park for a while or you’re a seasoned disc dog veteran, you’re invited to a day filled with family-friendly fun and flying, flipping, disc-catching-crazy dogs.

Competition is split into three divisions, with prizes for first through third places in each.

Registration begins at 9 a.m., with competition starting at 10 a.m., at Rotteveel Field in Dixon’s Northwest Park. To reach the park from Davis, head west on Interstate 80 and south on Highway 113. Turn right on West H Street and continue until you see the Northwest Park sign. Follow the park around to the right. Once on Parkgreen Drive, you’ll see a parking lot and a sign for Rotteveel Field.
