The Davis Genealogy Club invites the public to attend a free presentation on “Irish Research” at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, at the Davis Senior Center, 646 A St.

For those with ancestors from the Emerald Isle, this talk may answer some questions by helping to uncover relevant records. Speaker Kim R. von Aspern-Parker is a professional genealogist who has been helping others since 2000 and has spent more than 25 years pursuing her own family’s genealogy.

Von Aspern-Parker, speaks, teaches, coaches and blogs about genealogy. She also provides private genealogy investigation services from her Sacramento office. A professional genealogist and family historian with a passion for her work, von Aspern-Parker will bring a fresh perspective to the topic based on her personal research and numerous investigations.

Davis Genealogy Club meetings take place on the third Tuesday of most months. Guests are always welcome and members are encouraged to become involved.

The club’s genealogy library is open from 1 to 4 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays. A volunteer is available during these hours to help with questions. For more about the club library or programs, visit DavisGenealogy.org.
