Putah Creek Council is sponsoring a fundraising event with Rich Marovich, Putah Creek’s official streamkeeper, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 7, to explore watershed wonders.

Join this “insiders” tour of restoration sites along Putah Creek. Many acres of habitat have been restored over the past decade. Many of these sites are on private lands with restricted access. On this tour, participants will visit multiple sites and hear the stories of the work that has been done and what is planned for the future.

The tour will begin and end at the Winters Community Center, 201 Railroad Ave. Participants should provide their own transportation, although car-pooling during the event will be encouraged. Be prepared for moderate off-trail walking.

Tickets are $45 for Putah Creek Council members, or $70 for the general public (which includes a one-year membership). A picnic lunch and drinks are included.

Register online at www.putahcreekcouncil.org. The event is limited to 20 participants. For more information, or for participants who are unable to register online, contact Chris Rose at 530-902-3414.
