Fall book sale planned at the library

The Friends of the Davis Public Library will hold its bimonthly book sale this weekend. Members only are welcome from noon to 2 p.m. Friday; as always, shoppers may join the organization at the door.

The sale will be open to members and nonmembers alike from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the library, 315 E. 14th St.

All hardback books and trade paperbacks are $2; pocket, paperbacks are $1, children’s books range from 25 cents to $2 and CDs, DVDs and tapes are $1. On Sunday, full bags of books will be only $5 and “better books” are half-price.

Membership applications for the Friends of the Davis Public Library will be available at the door or online at davislibraryfriends.org. Membership includes bimonthly postcard reminders of the book sales, which can be turned in at each book sale for $4 off book purchases.
