Capay Organic will team with Grange Restaurant for a summer feast from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, prepared by chef Oliver Ridgeway. Proceeds will benefit the Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services and the Kathleen Barsotti Non-Profit for Sustainable Agriculture, which gives school supplies and backpacks to farmworkers’ children and awards an annual agriculture scholarship.

Farmer Thaddeus Barsotti and Ridgeway will give a talk about seasonal ingredients and sustainable agriculture for dinner guests. This dinner will be held on the farm, 23800 State Highway 16 in Capay.

“Our farm has worked with Grange for many years to bring seasonal ingredients to our region’s diners,” Barsotti said. “Food access is a cause close to our hearts, and we are pleased to partner with Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services so that they may continue to offer fresh produce to their clients.”

The dinner is a four-course meal with local wines and beer for $125 per person. Tickets may be purchased online at http://summerfarmfeast2014.eventbrite.com.
