Fencing academy hosts fundraiser for Japan

Davis Fencing Academy is offering a free one-hour introductory fencing lesson while asking for a $10 or more donation to help victims of the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

The free lessons, for ages 8 and up, will be given on Saturday, April 2, from 1 to 2 p.m., 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. and 2 to 3 p.m. The academy is at 2121 Second St., Suite C-103, in Davis.

To reserve a lesson time, call (530) 758-7087 to reserve a lesson time. The academy also will try to accommodate drop-in participants.
