The Davis Flower Arrangers will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 5, for a program that includes garden information and flower arrangement demonstrations. The presentations will begin immediately after a short business meeting at 7 p.m. and will be held in the Community Room of International House, 10 College Park in Davis.

Don Shor, the owner of Redwood Barn Nursery in Davis, will show slides of easy-to-grow perennials that are recommended for low-water situations like the current drought while still providing cutting material for bouquets and arrangements.

Shor is a graduate of UC Davis and writes a garden column for The Davis Enterprise. He grows walnuts, pecans, fruit trees and roses on his nearby Solano County farm.

Following Shor’s presentation, Tina Crutcher will make several flower arrangements of roses and perennials. She is a recent past president of the Davis Flower Arrangers and has been a flower shop owner and floral décor designer.

For more information, contact co-presidents Janet Collins at 530-756-3127 or Linda Wilson at 530-402-3865.
