The Sacramento students of Kika Shibata, including several from Davis, will present their 10th anniversary flower and demonstration show, “Floral Symphony,” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 18-19.

Shibata, who is based in San Jose, is a master in the Sogetsu School of Ikebana (Japanese-style flower arranging). The show will be at the Sacramento Garden and Art Center in McKinley Park, 3330 McKinley Blvd. in Sacramento. Admission is free.

The arrangements will include the use of woods, bamboo, glass, plastics, metal, paper and branches as well as flowers. There also will be an educational section with arrangements illustrating lessons from the Sogetsu textbook.

In addition, large outdoor standing arrangements will grace the patio and garden areas.

The floral demonstrations will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. on both days, with three demonstrators each day. Shibata will demonstrate at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb 19.
