Former head of Mossad will speak in Sacramento

By From page A5 | February 23, 2014

Retired Major Gen. Danny Yatom, former head of the Israeli Secret Intelligence Service (Mossad), will talk about “Israel-Palestine Prospects for Peace: An Expert’s Perspective” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27. He will speak at Congregation B’nai Israel, 3600 Riverside Blvd. in Sacramento.
Yatom will discuss how a two-state agreement can be achieved that not only satisfies Israeli security needs, but enhances Israeli security in the long term. He’ll examine other core issues of an agreement — borders, refugees and Jerusalem — and provide his thoughts on the prospects for peace.
This event is co-sponsored by the Congregation B’nai Israel Adult Education Committee and J Street Sacramento. For more information, visit www.bnais.com or www.jstreet.org.
