By From page A3 | August 13, 2014

Expectant mothers and fathers, patients in the emergency department, and children with asthma are among those who are benefiting from $1.1 million in support for Woodland Healthcare recently approved by the Woodland Healthcare Foundation’s board of trustees.

The foundation’s donors make possible advanced medical technology, facility enhancements and clinical personnel who serve both inpatients and outpatients.

Woodland Healthcare has served the community since 1905. It includes Woodland Memorial Hospital, a 108-bed acute care facility, and Woodland Clinic, a medical group of more than 120 health care providers in Woodland and Davis.

The Woodland Healthcare Foundation was established in 1967 and has since provided more than $19 million to advance local health care.
