Davis police are investigating the cause of an East Davis collision that left three people hospitalized Sunday.
Lt. Glenn Glasgow said a Chevrolet Suburban broadsided the passenger side of a Toyota Camry at about 5:20 p.m. at the intersection of East Eighth and L streets. Both drivers and two passengers in the Camry, females ages 2 and 61, were taken to the UC Davis Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
The drivers were identified as Sabrina Sandoval, 43, of Woodland, who was southbound on L Street in the Camry, and 44-year-old Elizabeth Capistrano of North Hills, the Suburban’s driver, who was headed east on Eighth Street.
Two passengers in the Suburban were unhurt, Glasgow said. Investigators are still looking into who was at fault in the crash.
