No coal power is generated in California. Some coal-generated electricity is imported into the state but the Cap-and-Trade regulation will likely change that dramatically.

Most EV users charge at night, when the sun is not shining.

I would think that people with electric cars charge them primarily through PV panels. But I could be wrong.

California wasted over $1Billion in the past trying to make electric cars work. Natural Gas cars work, and they work now, dramatically cutting the pollution emitted.

Electric cars are generally just coal-powered cars. While they emit slightly less carbon dioxide than gasoline-powered cars, it’s not enough to justify the embodied costs of changing vehicles.
