The free assistance is available to families and individuals who earn $50,000 a year or less. They are reminded to bring to their appointment a photo ID; Social Security cards or ITIN letters for all family members, including dependents; all W2 and 1099 forms; and information on other earnings or any other applicable tax forms.
Approximately 1,000 federal tax returns were filed at Yolo County VITA sites this past year, which brought more than $1.6 million back to the pockets of Yolo County families.
