Local residents are invited to support the Davis High School girls field hockey team, 2012 champion of the Eastern Athletic League, in its quest to build a new field. The team will host a silent auction and a live cake auction at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at the Davis Senior Center, 646 A St.

Advance sale tickets for the event are one for $15 or two for $25. Tickets also may be purchased at the door for $20. Attendees will enjoy appetizers, desserts and a no-host bar.

Auction items include jewelry, vacations in Costa Rica and Cabo San Lucas and San Francisco Giants and 49ers memorabilia. The grand prize drawing at the end of the night will be for an outdoor tabletop fire pit donated by Custom Fireside. Raffle tickets may be purchased in advance or at the event.

DHS field hockey alumni and members of the public are welcome to attend. An award ceremony for the 2012 team will take place at the end of the evening.

For more information, call Lea Mentink at 530-383-0839.
