Fundraiser supports Chilean rebuilding

By
February 17, 2011 |

ChileCAD, the Chilean Cultural Association of Davis, invites local residents to a fundraiser this weekend to support rebuilding in Chile from last year’s 8.8-magnitude earthquake. The event runs from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, the first anniversary of the disaster, at 2858 Seine Ave. in West Davis.

Money will go to EPES (Popular Education for Health), a nonprofit organization that is rebuilding homes, lives and communities in the epicenter region of Chile, near Concepcion.

For more information, call (530) 753-4814.
