Garamendi will speak at Democrats’ Bean Feed

By From page A4 | October 04, 2012

All Yolo County Democrats are invited to attend the 36th annual Bean Feed from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Gibson House, 512 Gibson Road in Woodland. Dinner will be served at 4 p.m., followed by a program at 4:30 p.m. This year’s celebration includes a “dessert dash,” showcasing culinary masters of Yolo County.

Rep. John Garamendi, D-Walnut Grove, who is seeking election to the newly drawn 3rd Congressional District that includes most of Yolo County, will be the keynote speaker. Also speaking will be state Sen. Lois Wolk, D-Davis; Assemblywoman Mariko Yamada, D-Davis; and representatives of the Yes on Prop. 30 and No on Prop. 32 campaigns.

The Bean Feed is the Yolo County Democratic Party’s primary fundraiser and gives local Democrats an opportunity to network, socialize and prepare for the final stretch of the election campaign.

Tickets are $35, available at the door or online at https://secure.actblue.com/page/2012ycdcdinner.
