Gardening workshops offered Saturday

By From page A4 | April 12, 2012

Have you ever admired a friend’s plant and wished you could have one just like it? Master Gardener Jim Fowler will teach “Simple Propagation Techniques” from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Central Park Gardens, near Third and B streets.

All the basic equipment needs and techniques of propagation will be covered so that multiplying a favorite plant or sharing a favorite plant will become a feasible task.

The restful sounds of water add to the ambience of any garden. Master Gardener David Studer, proud pond owner since 1991, will teach “The ABC’s of Creating a Home Water Garden” from 11 a.m. to noon. Site selection, equipment, filters, pumps, plants and fish or no fish will be covered.

For more information about these classes and others coming up, visit www.centralparkgardens.org or call Peg Smith at (530) 756-8409.
