What do zero waste and fashion have in common? You can find out by attending a fashion soiree and zero waste event showcase, “PlanIt GREEN PlanIt Local,” from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Friday. The event, jointly presented by Sacramento Event Planners and The Wardrobe, will take place at the T.S. Glide Ranch, 36355 Russell Blvd., west of Davis.

The Wardrobe of Davis, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary, will host the fashion portion of the event, “Beauty and the Beats,” an art and bio-couture fashion show, at 8 p.m. The bio-couture designs of Davis’ Sacha Laurin will be featured, along with collections from Sue Wong, Tianello, URU, Butter, Elana Kattan and Desigual.

Local food and wine tastings — featuring Monticello Restaurant, Heringer Estate Vineyards, Ard Aven Winery and more — are planned. Live jazz will be performed by Valo Boheme at French DJ Trop’a.

Tickets are $25 for admission plus food and wine-tasting, or $15 for admission only, available at planitgreenplanitlocaldavis.brownpapertickets.com.
