Halloween fundraiser reaches new heights

Taking Halloween a step beyond the Monster Mash is the Pumpkin Smash Bash fundraiser from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Heidrick Ag History Center, 1962 Hays Lane in Woodland. Tickets are $30 for members and $35 for the general public.

The fundraiser includes a raffle with one person being selected to receive a helicopter ride donated by Joe Heidrick and the chance to drop a pumpkin from 100 feet.

Guests may enjoy beer tasting, a pumpkin-smashing contest, costume contest, prizes, brats, treats and music. Included in the price of admission are four complimentary beer tastings, one free pumpkin and one food serving. Additional full beers and pumpkins are available for purchase.
