The John Natsoulas Gallery welcomes local poet Hannah Stein for its Poetry Night Reading Series at 8 p.m. Thursday.

Stein is a Davis poet whose work has been featured in such journals as Nimrod, The American Literary Review, Poetry Flash, Prairie Schooner and Hunger Mountain. She is the author of such poetry collections as Earthlight and the chapbooks “Schools of Flying Fish” and “Greatest Hits.”

Her most recent chapbook, “A Broken Music,” reflects her attention to biography, music history and other genres.

Open mic will begin around 9 p.m., and the after-party will follow at 10 p.m. The gallery is at 521 First St. in downtown Davis.

The Poetry Night Reading Series, coordinated and hosted by Andy Jones and produced by Lane Berger, takes place at the John Natsoulas Gallery on the first and third Thursdays of every month. This month, Dr. Andy also will read from his new book, “Where’s Jukie?”
