Hardwater entertains at Picnic in the Park

Hardwater, a Davis-based band, brings its unique blend of pop, rock, folk and blues to Picnic in the Park on Wednesday. They’ll play from 5 to 8 p.m. alongside the Davis Farmers Market in Central Park, Fourth and C streets in downtown Davis.

The local band features Kat Bowden (vocals and mandolin), Johnny Flores (drums), Rob Gonzalez (bass), John Swann (vocals and guitar), Richard Day (guitar and harmonica) and Bob Lindley (violin, baritone violin and electric mandolin).

Hardwater performs original songs and covers, bringing unique interpretations to a diverse mix of tunes from the Beatles, Bob Dylan and the Grateful Dead to Counting Crows, Barenaked Ladies and the Dave Matthews Band.

All Picnic in the Park music is sponsored and funded by the Davis Food Co-op.

Children’s entertainment includes Rocknasium’s climbing wall, bounce houses, Central Park’s bicycle-powered carousel, face-painting and balloon-maker Dilly Dally the Clown.
