Harmony in Our Lives Award nominations sought

Thursday is the deadline for nominations for this year’s 25th annual Harmony in Our Lives Award, presented by the West Valley Barbershop Chorus. This is an accolade of distinction given to individuals or organizations that have been significant long-term contributors to the musical enrichment of the Davis Community.

The recipient is selected by a committee composed of representatives from the chorus and the Davis Civic Arts Commission based on nominations received from the public. The award is presented at the annual Harmony in Our Lives Benefit Show, which this year will take place Sunday, Nov. 17, at the Brunelle Performance Hall at Davis High School, 315 W. 14th St.

Previous award recipients include Ida Mae Harter, Richard Brunelle, John Draper, Dorothy West, Fredrick Lange, Margaret Neu, Rachel Kessler, Martha Dickman, Nancy Adams, Anne Gibbs, Larry Snyder, the Davis Musical Theatre Company, Mary Klisiewicz, Stephen Peithman, Celia Cottle, Bob Gonzalez, Karen Gardias, Vivian Meyer, Jan Coker, D. Kern Holoman, Mindy Manville, Claudia Krich, Angelo Moreno and Davis Pickers & Singers.
