By March 2, 2011

Yolo County Animal Services officials are trying to find a dog that ran away after a three-car fatal collision on Highway 113 near Gibson Road in Woodland on Monday.

Two chow chows were riding in one of the vehicles, an Animal Services spokeswoman said in a news release. The male chow chow was found at the crash scene, but the second dog is still missing. She is a spayed female, tan and reddish brown in color, and answers to the name Suzy.

She was seen after the accident in the area of North Pioneer Avenue, Gibson Road and Main Street. Suzy was last seen at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday near the Home Depot store in Woodland.

The dogs’ owner, who is from Fremont, is still hospitalized as he recovers from his injuries.

Anyone with information about the dog is asked to call Animal Services at (530) 668-5287, ext. 0.
