More than a dozen local sports and health professionals will offer free services at The Good Health Festival, a fundraiser for the Davis High School Blue & White Foundation from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Covell Professional Center, at Anderson Road and West Covell Boulevard.
At the health festival, free services include spinal screenings, dental information, demonstrations, massage, physical therapy and shoe fittings. The following workshops and talks are planned:
* 12:30 p.m., “Putting Your Sugar Bugs on a Diet,” Dr. Samer Alassaad, D.D.S., of Childress Family Dentistry;
* 1 p.m., “Better Birth Choices,” Tosi Marceline of Birthstream Midwifery;
* 1:30 p.m., “Boost Your Immunity Naturally this Winter,” Dr. Bryon Cloyd, C.M.T., D.C., of Gerner Chiropractic;
* 2 p.m., Neil Hershberger, P.T.;
* 2:30 p.m., “Developmental Screenings and Early Access for Success,” Dr. Stephen Nowicki, Ph.D., M.D., of Davis Developmental Pediatric Group; and
* “Holistic Healthcare for Kids,” Dr. Lynn Gerner, D.C., F.I.C.P.A., of Gerner Chiropractic.
The event also will feature a bounce house, hot dogs and veggie dogs, cupcakes, yogurt, wine and music. A fire engine will visit at 2 p.m.
