By From page A15 | June 09, 2013

Kerin Kelleher, longtime vice principal at Holmes Junior High, will be moving to Harper Junior High this summer. The vice principal’s job at Harper opened up a few weeks ago when Matt Duffy was hired as principal at Pioneer Elementary.

Assistant Superintendent Matt Best, the school district’s human resources administrator, told The Enterprise on Friday that “Kerin Kelleher has served as a successful and talented teacher and vice principal at Holmes Junior High since 1992. She has expressed the deepest affection for the staff she knows and loves at Holmes, and a debt of gratitude for the wonderful life experience in the Holmes community over so many years.

“While she is saddened to leave the Holmes community, she has expressed an interest in expanding her administrative leadership experience, an interest fully supported by Principals Derek Brothers (of Holmes) and Zena Ingles (of Harper), as well as Superintendent Winfred Roberson.”

Staff at Harper and Holmes will create a transition plan over the next month. At the same time, the job posting for a vice principal position at Harper will be changed to reflect an opening at Holmes Junior High instead.
