Casa Verde Designs hosts open house

Casa Verde Designs, an eco-friendly home improvement showroom at 912 Fifth St. in Davis, invites community members to stop by from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday for its annual open house celebrating five years in business and one year at its current location.

This year, Casa Verde has added a “sidewalk sale” to the celebration, offering bargains on remnants, floor samples and discontinued items as well as coupons for future purchases. The firm also will offer coupon specials for end-of-year purchases of any flooring products on display and available by special order. Refreshments will be served.

Casa Verde Designs provides design advice and services as well as interior design materials to homeowners and do-it-yourselfers as well as local contractors, design professionals and tradespeople. Planning, design and specifying materials for kitchen, bath and flooring renovations of any size are a specialty.

The firm opened in Davis in 2007 in a small showroom on F Street then moved last summer next door to Bacc. The business moved to its new location on 5th Street, next to Baciarini’s Martial Arts. The new showroom, a former warehouse for Davis Ace Hardware, was renovated using many of the materials that homeowners can choose for the own projects.
