Hank Shaw talks about “Hunt, Gather, Cook: Finding the Forgotten Feast” — a book that says more of us should forage, hunt and fish for more of our food — on the latest edition of “Davisville,” a local radio show.
Shaw, who lives in the Sacramento area, discusses good places to forage in the Davis area, the appeal of his book to anyone from National Rifle Association members to vegetarian foodies, how much of his time he spends foraging, and how he would prepare a Thanksgiving feast.
“Davisville,” hosted by Bill Buchanan, airs on KDRT, 95.7 FM, at 5:30 p.m. Mondays, 8:30 a.m. Wednesdays, 10:30 p.m. Fridays and 7:30 a.m. Saturdays.
The interview with Shaw debuted Monday and will air through Dec. 3. It is also available in the KDRT program archives at www.kdrt.org/node/8079.
