Casino impact funds set

The state of California has allocated $60,765 to the Yolo Indian Gaming Local Community Benefit Committee to award as grants to local agencies in Yolo County affected by tribal gaming. The committee is accepting applications for grant funding.

Priority areas for the receipt of grant funding include law enforcement, fire services, emergency medical services, environmental impacts, water supplies, waste disposal, behavioral health, planning and adjacent land uses, public health, roads, recreation and youth programs, and child care programs.

Applications for funding must be received by 5 p.m. Friday, April 12. They may be sent to the Yolo County Administrator’s Office, 625 Court St., Room 202, Woodland, CA 95695 .
