It may be time to renew your bike license

By From page A3 | January 24, 2014

Bicyclists who registered their bikes with a California bicycle license in 2011 or earlier should check their tags to see if they need to renew their registration.

California bicycle licenses issued by Transportation and Parking Services at UC Davis and participating bike shops in Davis are valid until Dec. 31 of the second year after the license is issued. The expiration date may be found on the California license renewal sticker. License renewal costs $5 and will be valid through Dec. 31, 2016. A new license costs $10.

Bicycle licenses may be purchased on campus at Transportation and Parking Services from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

They also may be purchased downtown at B&L Bike Shop, 610 Third St.; Ken’s Bike-Ski-Board , 650 G St.;  and at the Green Bicycle Depot, 965 Olive Drive; during their regular hours. All bicycles operated on the UCD campus must have a current California bicycle registration.

For more information, contact the campus bicycle coordinator at 530-752-2453 or at [email protected].
