From page A3 | February 19, 2012 |

A weekly series of open-mic performances, dubbed Mid-Winter @ I-House, continues from 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday at International House, Davis, 10 College Park.

The event is an opportunity for cultural exchange and this week will feature traditional Japanese songs and music performed on koto, shamisen and shakuhachi (bamboo flute) by Naoko and Elliot Kallen. All ages are welcome.

Foreign students and community members are invited to add their special flavor to each evening’s mix.

Admission is free, but donations will be accepted with gratitude. Refreshments will be available for purchase all evening.
