Labyrinth walk celebrates World Day of Prayer

By From page A8 | September 06, 2013

A labyrinth will be open Thursday, Sept. 12, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Veterans’ Memorial Center in Davis for all who wish to join in celebrating a World Day of Prayer.

Hosted by the Unity Center of Davis, the labyrinth will be set up in the Club Room at the Vets’, 203 E. 14th St. During that hour, all are invited to walk the labyrinth or simply sit for a time in the prayerful ambience that will be present during this sacred event.

“The labyrinth is a metaphor for the journey to the center of your deepest self and back out into the world with a broadened understanding of who you are,” a news release said.
