By From page A5 | April 20, 2014

Candidates for Assembly, Yolo County superintendent of schools, Yolo County clerk/recorder/assessor, Yolo Superior Court judge and Woodland City Council will face off in public forums to be hosted by the Woodland League of Women Voters. All will take place at 7 p.m. at the Woodland Community and Senior Center, 2001 East St. in Woodland.

The first — on Wednesday — will feature candidates for the 4th Assembly District. They are Joe Krovoza, Dan Wolk and Dustin Call of Davis, Charlie Schaupp of Esparto and Bill Dodd of Napa. The forum will be moderated by league member Beckie Challender and include the candidates’ responses to several questions prepared by the league. Time will be allowed for audience questions as well.

Candidates for superintendent — Sam Neustadt and Jesse Ortiz — and clerk/recorder/assessor — Freddie Oakley and Dave Schwenger — will be featured Tuesday, April 29, and the following night the light shines on Woodland City Council candidates.

On Wednesday, May 7, candidates for Yolo Superior Court — Janene Beronio, John Brennan, Rick Cohen and Larenda Delaini — will face questioning by the league and the public.
