By From page A2 | July 14, 2013

Wacky Wilderness Wednesday programs continue this week at the Cache Creek Nature Preserve, 34199 County Road 20, west of Woodland. Wednesday’s topic is “Bugs in the Creek,” presented by education specialists hosting interacting discovery stations for visitors. Admission to the program, which runs from 9 to 11 a.m., is free.

While the focus is on elementary-age students, visitors of all ages are invited to drop by at any time during the two-hour period and participate in the hands-on learning activity.

Future programs will focus on “Creative Writing and Art,” July 24; “Water Exploration,” July 31 and “Outdoor Fun & Games,” Aug. 7.

Visitors are welcome to stay and take a walk along the trails or bring a lunch to enjoy following the presentations. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring your own water as drinking water is not available on site.
