Apple and Android hand-held devices will be demonstrated at Monday’s meeting of the Woodland Senior Center Computer Club Inc. Armand Jaques, a regular instructor of some of the club’s classes, will be the presenter. The meeting will begin at 1 p.m. at the center’s meeting rooms, 2001 East St. in Woodland.
The meeting is open to adults free of charge. Light refreshments will be served. Membership in the club, open to any Yolo County adult, costs $12 per year and entitles members to enter a monthly drawing at the end of each meeting and an emailed copy of “Byte News,” the club newsletter.
Topics to be covered in the overview will include an explanation of differences between the iPad and Android systems, Wi-Fi and cellular access, applications (“apps”), security, and operation and navigation.
